2013 Christian Ministries Conference

2013 Conference Canceled.  Watch For Details For 2014.

Dear fellow Co-laborers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

            We pray that this letter finds you basking in the glow and grace of our Lord and Savior. We hope that your Thanksgiving season was blessed and that you are looking forward to an equally blessed Christmas and New Year’s holidays. We at OCEA have been blessed by our relationship with you in the cause for Christ and the furtherance of His kingdom through networking, teaching and sharing information related to all levels of Christian Education. We look forward to a continued and ever deepening relationship in the days, months and years to come.

            Because of that relationship we wanted to inform you of recent developments regarding the 2013 Christian Ministries Conference (CMC). The conference theme is Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under the sun (NRSV)”.  As God would have it, this appears to be a prophetic scripture based on where we find ourselves as a conference and organization. Because of many personal circumstances and the conference workload before us, the Board of Directors of OCEA has decided not to hold the conference in March 2013 at The Chapel. This decision was not made lightly, has been bathed in prayer, and we believe that a new season for OCEA is dawning. During the coming year we will continue to pause and seek God about His direction for a new OCEA. This new direction could include a new venue, a different structure for the conference, expanded offerings or other changes. The Board of Directors remains open to re-tooling in His way and His time, and waits with great anticipation to hear what the Lord has to say to us.

We ask that you join us in prayer personally and as an organization. The OCEA phone line will remain active as will the web site. Our plan is to remain in touch with you during the year through the web site, email, U.S. mail and phone so that you know how we are progressing. Feel free to contact us at any time if you desire.

Please know that we love and appreciate you. The Ohio Christian Education Association and Christian Ministries Conference would not have had the impact in the state and the nation if it were not for your partnership and involvement.
